When we talk about coffees from Ethiopia, our conversation usually revolves around floral perfume, stone fruits, and sugars. It is fitting that the birthplace of coffee produces some of the most beautifully floral and sweet smelling coffees in the world. This lot from the Duromina Cooperative is a wonderful example. Grown at 1,900-2,100 metres, a little over 100 small-scale producers contribute their fruit to this co-op.
The floral aromatics are stunning, and can be found in the cup as well, playing nicely with notes of apricot and lychee. Lovely Spring coffee! Enjoy!
