Konga is one of three washing stations owned by Mekuria Mergia (same owner of Gedeb Kelloo). Coffee from this washing station has always been highly sought after by many roasters, and this year's harvest is no different. This particular washing
station is located in the south west of Yirgacheffe, very close to Gedeb.
It was a challenging year to Mekuria Mergia because of the high prices, long rains, and overall lower yields. Mekuria’s operational strategy pivoted to only focus on high quality Grade 1 coffees, meaning he only processed a limited number of containers of
both washed and naturals from all his stations.
In the cup, you can expect some sweet stone fruits and tea note, like donut peach and an elegant white tea, with an underlying sugarcane sweetness. Please enjoy!
