Mekuria Merga is the owner of washing stations in Ethiopia, and is a highly respected coffee professional with over 23 years experience in the industry. Three washing stations are named after him, located in woreda of Gedeb and process cherries from around 500 farmers.
Mekuria’s washing stations served as bridges between the community and exporters by assisting exporters in their social responsibility programs. Now he manages his own social programmes. Mekuria decided to only focus on high quality Grade 1 coffees. He only processed a limited quantity of both washed and naturals from all his stations.
In the cup, you can expect some bright citrus and berry notes, like orange and raspberry, with an underlying brown sugar sweetness. Please enjoy!
