We are thrilled to announce our new compostable capsules, which are housed in a plant-based shell and are 100% biodegradable and compostable, with a 100% oxygen barrier to prevent unwanted oxidisation.  The coffees inside the capsule are also 100% Cupping Room; roasted by us at our roastery in Po Hing Fong, Hong Kong.
Over the last year and a half, we have evaluated a seemingly endless array of different capsule shells and systems, looking for the one that fits our purposes best: balancing the quality of the cup, the convenience of the mode, and the environmental impact.  As capsule technologies and materials have evolved, we have finally selected this NESPRESSO® system capsule which is ideal for use anywhere: home, office, restaurant, or hotel.

We love our seasonal blend for espresso and we also love it for drip.  In our shops, we use it as our house espresso for both black and milk beverages.  We also brew it to order on our brew bar, and serve it as our iced black coffee.  As you can tell, it's a very forgiving blend and dials in easily on your espresso bar or for home brewing.  

We recommend ATTABOY compostable capsules to be enjoyed in any way -- as a ristretto, espresso, lungo, or with milk (try a double shot!).

Bale Mountain is a very interesting project for both its size and location. It is a relatively new, private farm, which sits at 1900-2000 masl.  They currently have about 100 hectares of coffee production, and are still planting new trees. 
This lot, Bale Mountain #1, is filled with red fruit character.  From the aroma to the cup, you’ll find red berries mixed in with grapes and plums -- just like a fruit punch!  
For ISREL DEGFA, we recommend it to be enjoyed as a lungo, or as a "single origin espresso" experience.

We are thrilled to announce our inaugural special collaboration for our capsule project, featuring a special signature blend roasted by our dear friend Yoshi Kato of Bontain Coffee in Nagoya, Japan.

Yoshi trained in coffee in Guatemala and El Salvador at a young age. Later, he worked in a trading company in New York City and in a bar in Genoa, Italy.  He is well versed in the distribution of coffee from its production area to the country of consumption.

Currently, Yoshi is the President and owner of Bontain Coffee in Nagoya, Japan - the third generation operator, roasting coffee and promoting espresso drinks at Caffe Bontain. He is a Life time pioneer member of the Cup of Excellence (COE) and a certified Head Judge at the World Barista Championship. Currently, he is a Representative for World Coffee Events and teaches competitions around the world.

This "Classic Strong Blend" is a customer favourite's at Bontain, and we are big fans of this versatile blend as well.  We recommend "BONTAIN CLASSIC STRONG BLEND" compostable capsules to be enjoyed in any way -- as a ristretto, espresso, lungo, or with milk -- it is especially great over ice as well!
